We’ve made a lot of friends in this industry, and many of them are competitors. One such company in Houston, also an excellent church builder, invited us to meet with their denomination’s leadership about a new district office in South Texas. While the building program was primarily about administrative operations and spaces, the district leadership also included ministerial functions like Church Planting & Missions, Men & Women’s Ministries, and Children’s Church Ministry.
The 13,000-square-foot design reflects both professionalism and spiritual purpose. While the exterior presents a clean, elegant profile appropriate for an administrative center, it also carries subtle cues from ecclesiastical architecture — a quiet nod to its greater mission.
The plan balances efficiency with flexibility for future growth. Core spaces include Receptionist, Prayer Room, District Superintendent, Treasurer, Accounting, a Boardroom, and a Break Room with Kitchen.
Ultimately, the design was an elegant solution to specific program functions and requirements. We’re grateful for all the positive responses and gracious compliments we’ve received on this design.
